Hearts of Oak coach Slavko Matic says his vision for the club is to build a competitive team capable of challenging for titles as well as playing good football.
The Serbian has had a strong start to his stint as the club’s gaffer;winning his two games to claim a pssible 6 points off opponents.
His first game in charge of the Phobia boys was one to remember as he pipped Bibiani GoldStars 2-1 in Accra. Last weekend, Hearts of Oak once again narrowly defeated Kotoku Royals.
Hearts of Oak showed signs of inconsistenty in both games with signs of weakness in some areas as they are still a work in progress.
Speaking after Saturday’s win over Kotoku Royals, Matic said, “I want to bring competition to the team, I have said I want to get a better option for us, we have a lot of games and every player would play.”
“We want to try the best combination for each game, you saw Gladson Awako and Salifu Ibrahim in the first half with the best combination.”
Slavo Matic replaced Samuel Boadu to steer the affairs of the club after the latter contributed to the club lifting five trophies in tow years.
Hearts of Oak’s next game is at home against Karela United on November 13 whiles
