Freight forwarders and Customs Officers at the Aflao border have been retrained on the various processes involved in the usage of the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), by the ICUMS implementation team.
The implementation team led by Emmanuel Ohene, Project Manager of ICUMS, addressed technical questions asked by freight forwarders on the usage of the new trade facilitation system.
Freight forwarders at the Aflao border expressed appreciation for the training and concerns addressed, noting that they now had better understanding of the workings of ICUMS.
Retraining and engagements of freight forwarders by the implementation team will continue in Kpoglo, Akanu and Havi for the next couple of days.
