Institute of Directors Ghana, Equip Ghana partner to develop transformational leaders
The Institute of Directors Ghana (IoD-Gh) and Equip Ghana, a global leadership movement, have entered into a collaborative partnership aimed at nurturing and promoting transformational leaders.
The agreement was reached during a courtesy visit by a delegation from Equip Ghana to the IoD-Gh’s office in Accra on Thursday.
The collaboration between the two organizations aims to support the Equip Beyond Success Leadership Programme, which focuses on mobilizing leaders for global transformation.
The programme seeks to instil core values and principles in leaders, fostering positive attitudes and promoting national development.
Mr. Eric Saah Nyuma, the African Regional Director of Equip Leadership, expressed confidence that the partnership with IoD-Gh would bring value to both organizations.
He emphasized the importance of raising leaders in Ghana who would inspire and transform others, contributing to the prosperity of society.
Reverend (Mrs.) Angela Carmen Appiah, President and Board Chair of IoD-Ghana, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the shared vision of both organizations in leadership development.
She emphasized the challenge of leadership in Africa, specifically the lack of responsibility and accountability in decision-making processes.
Rev. Appiah emphasized the need for active participation and ownership of leadership processes, as a better environment benefits everyone.
By working together, IoD-Gh and Equip Ghana aim to address these challenges and develop leaders who embody values and contribute positively to their communities and society as a whole.
