Local bourse ends week with GHS 74.4bn market capitalisation

The GSE-CI recorded no change from last week to close at 3,172.43 points maintaining its 1.35% YTD gain.

The GSE- FSI also closed at 1,910.16 points, the same level it opened this week, posting a YTD return of 0.45%.

MMH lost GH¢0.01 of its value to close at GH¢0.10. Total market capitalization improved marginally, ending the week at GH¢74.45 billion.

The week ended with a jump in total volume after 2,729,938 shares traded compared to 707,196 shares traded last week.

A corresponding increase was observed for total turnover which fell to GH¢4,058,820.50 as against GH¢1,898,286.89 last week.

Meanwhile, MTNGH dominated the market with a traded volume of 2,300,605 shares, amounting to a value of GH¢3,220,847.00

Trades also took place in the finance, manufacturing, and distribution sectors, with Cocoa Processing Company (CPC), Cal Bank Plc. (CAL), and TotalEnergies Petroleum (TOTAL) ranking among the top five traded equities for the week.
