Local bourse returns 51.25% to investors

The benchmark GSE Composite index (GSE-CI) at the end of trading on Wednesday, rallied up by 70.62 points to close trading at 2,936.59 points, representing a YTD return of 51.25% on share prices to investors.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also gained 0.30 points to close at 2,082.42 points also representing a YTD return of 16.81%.  

Scancom PLC (MTNGH) and Enterprise Group PLC (EGL) both gained  GH¢0.06 and GH¢0.01to close trading at GH¢1.27 and GH¢2.52 respectively.

Market capitalization therefore increased by GH¢739.14 million to close trading at GH¢65.02 billion representing a growth of 19.59% in2021. 

A total of 664,830 shares valued at GH¢853,025.40 were traded among four (4) equities as compared to 530,246 shares valued at GH¢ 1,397,797.00 which were traded the previous day.
