Local Bourse Sees Dip In Trading Activity; Closes Tuesday’s Session With A Fall
The GSE Composite Index remained unchanged at the day’s end with its Year-To-Date return(YTD) at 49.43%.
The GSE Financial Stock Index maintained the previous day’s 2,342.65 point reading with its YTD return at 23.20%.
The overall market capitalization sits at GH¢107.99 billion – GH¢39.00 million below the previous day’s reading of GH¢108.03 billion.
On the trade activity front, the volume of shares traded fell 89.52% to 63,102 from the previous 602,289 shares.
The day’s total value traded (GH¢378,893.87) was down 70.01% from GH¢1,263,498.59. GLD shed-off GH¢13.45
of its market price, being the day’s sole price mover.
Among the top five traded equities, CAL led with the highest volume, trading 31,398 shares valued at GH¢10,675.32.
Other stocks in the top 5 trade activity pile were, CPC, MTNGH, GLD and GLD in that order, although their trading volumes were significantly lower in comparison.
