Market capitalisation of local bourse remains GHS 73bn as benchmark index records no change

The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange recorded no change to end the day at 3,130.23 points.

This represents a YTD return of 28.08%. The GSE Financial Stocks Index similarly closed unmoved at 1,901.57 points representing a YTD return of -7.36%.

There were no gainers nor decliners on Wednesday’s trading day. Thus, Market Capitalization for the day remained at GH¢73.89 billion.

Overall, 964,124 shares (down 48.91%), valued at GH¢1,592,118.07 (up 31.78%) were traded today, with thirteen (13) stocks in total exchanging hands.

SOGEGH trades dominated today’s trading session with a trade volume of 605,272 shares worth GH¢950,277.04.

The second most traded stock was CAL, which traded 315,894 shares valued at GH¢151,629.12. SCB, DIGICUT and MTNGH followed in the activity pile to complete the top 5 traded stocks on the day.
