Bank of Ghana Shuts Down Dek-Nock Investments for Unlicensed Deposit-Taking Activity

The Bank of Ghana, in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, has announced the immediate closure of Dek-Nock Investments for engaging in deposit-taking activities without a licence.

The firm, which operated in Nungua and Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region, was shut down in accordance with Section 20(2)(g) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).

Dek-Nock Investments was found to be in violation of Section 6(1) of Act 930, which prohibits unauthorised deposit-taking.

The Ghana Police Service is currently conducting further investigations into the operations of Dek-Nock Investments.

Customers of the company are urged to remain calm as investigations proceed, and the public will be kept informed of any developments.
