Prosper Narteh resigns as Asante Kotoko head coach
Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has resigned from his position according to multiple reports.
The former WAFA head coach communicated his decision to the club during a meeting between the management of the club and the technical team.
He was appointed ahead of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season and led the team to their first league title since the 2013/2014 season.
Winning the league also means that Asante Kotoko have now qualified to participate in next season’s CAF Champions League.
Per information gathered by norvanreports, Mr Narteh Ogum resigned as a result of the disagreement between himself and management of the club over player recruitment and player sales as the club prepares to participate in Caf Champions League in September
The Kotoko management also wanted to bring on board a new technical director for the Champions League.
Ogum, reportedly, insisted that he already has two assistant coaches and wouldn’t need a technical director for now.
However, since an agreement wasn’t reached, he opted to resign
