President Mahama Submits Final List of Deputy Ministerial Nominees to Parliament
President John Dramani Mahama has submitted his final list of deputy ministerial nominees to Parliament for consideration and approval, in accordance with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
In a statement signed and issued by the Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, four Members of Parliament were named to serve in various key ministries as deputy ministers.
The nominees include Dorcas Toffey, MP for Jomoro, who has been designated for the Ministry of Transport; James G. Quayson, MP for Assin North, nominated for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP for Sissala West, assigned to the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations; and Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP for Essikado-Ketan, selected for the Ministry of Health.
The latest nominations, which mark the President’s final set of appointments to his deputy ministerial team, are expected to undergo the necessary vetting and approval processes by Parliament, through the Office of the Speaker.
The appointments form part of President Mahama’s efforts to strengthen governance and administrative efficiency across key sectors as his administration continues its mandate.
