Norvanreports has gathered that, dozens of people have been left stranded at the premises of the Registrar-General’s Department (RGD).
At the moment, existing customers as well as prospective clients are unable to access the services of the Department.
The new development follows the temporal shutdown of the systems of the Department on the back of an industrial strike action by employees of Ghana Community Network Services Limited (GCNet) – the Department’s service provider.
The Department earlier this morning issued a communique disclosing the strike action as well as the temporary suspension of its services noting that it is working around the clock to resolve the situation and fully restore its systems.
No justifications have yet been given by the Department for the sudden strike action by employees of GCNet.
