The value of remittances of Egyptians living abroad increased by 10.5% Year on year (YoY) during the 10-month period between July 2020 and April 2021, according to recent figures by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

Remittances recorded $23.4 billion during the same period of the fiscal year 2019/2020.
On a monthly basis, remittances jumped 34% to $2.5 billion by the end of April 2021, when compared to $1.8 billion in April 2020.
