Republic Bank and Benso Oil record share price gains on stock market
Benso Oil Palm Plantation PLC (BOPP) and Republic Bank Ghana PLC (RBGH) each gained GH¢ 0.34 pesewas and GH¢0.04 pesewas to close trading at GH¢3.79 and GH¢0.47 respectively.
Fan Milk PLC (FML) however lost on the day by GH¢ 0.08 pesewas to close at GH¢5.00.
A total of 677,184 shares valued at GH¢858,982.46 exchanged hands in twelve (12) equities as Scancom PLC. (MTN) recorded the most trades, accounting for 85.1% of the total value traded.
At the close of trading on Monday, the benchmark GSE Composite index (GSE-CI) gained 3.50 points to close trading at 2,872.21 which represents a YTD return of 47.93%.
The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also gained 5.91 points to close trading at 2,058.22, also translating into a YTD return of 15.45%.
Market capitalization, as a result, increased by GH¢36.61 million to close trading at GH¢64.35 billion representing a YTD growth of 18.35% in 2021.
