Morocco: Our blood will be on your hands if you don’t come to our aid – Distressed Ghanaian students tell Prez Akufo-Addo

The plight of Ghanaian students on government scholarships in Morocco has reached a critical point, as they have publicly appealed to President Nana Akufo-Addo to intervene and ensure the payment of their stipends, which have been outstanding for over ten months.

In a deeply emotional video, the students expressed their severe financial distress, highlighting their struggles to meet basic needs. Female students, in particular, shared their anguish over being unable to afford essential items such as sanitary pads.

The students described dire living conditions, with many being evicted from their apartments due to unpaid rent and subsequently forced to sleep in unsafe, unsecured places.

This situation has not only jeopardized their education but also their personal safety and well-being.

They conveyed a sense of urgency and desperation, emphasizing that their lives are at risk and appealing to the President’s conscience by stating that any harm that befalls them would be his responsibility if immediate action is not taken.

“We are begging you Mr President, if you don’t come to our aid, there will be blood on your hands. Our lives are in danger,” they noted.

This public outcry underscores the urgent need for the Ghanaian government to address the issue promptly, ensuring that these students receive the financial support necessary to continue their studies and maintain their dignity and safety while in Morocco.

And they honestly believe that the central government cares about their plight. Before you left the country, did you think or believed that the central government cared or loved the citizens? Nothing has changed.
