GSE-CI falls 20.92 points, returns -12.41% YTD

GSE-CI falls 20.92 points, returns -12.41% YTD

The Accra Bourse was down by 20.92points to close trading at 2,443.21 points representing a YTD return of -12.41%.

The GSE Financial Stock  Index (GSE-FSI) also inched down by 41.98 points to close trading at  2,121.05points translating into a YTD return of -1.43%. 

The fall in the GSE stock indices came on the back of price depreciation in Ecobank Ghana PLC. (EGH) as it lost GH¢0.75 to close at GH¢6.85 representing a YTD return of -9.87%.

Ten (10) equities traded with no  gainer recorded, hence market capitalization for the day settled at GH¢63.51 billion.

Compared with the previous GSE trading day (July 19), Wednesday’s data shows a 2582.75% improvement in volume traded and 1190.64% improvement in trade turnover.

Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) accounted  for 92.37% of the total value traded and recorded the largest volumes  traded.
