Samuel Boadu laments over bad pitch in Hearts vs Dreams match
The head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu has lamented about the bad state of the El Wak Sports Stadium.
Legon Cities hosted Hearts of Oak in their Matchday 18 GPL fixture, which eventually ended 1-1 with Legon Cities equalizing at the death through Amadu Osman.
The El Wak Sports Stadium has served as the home venue for Legon Cities after they moved from the Accra Sports Stadium but the pitch has deteriorated over the weeks.
Samuel Boadu was not a happy man as he lost Sulley Muntari to injury and had some words for the Ghana Football Association during his post match interview.
“The pitch is not good at all. This is the premiership and we are all crying for the beauty of the game but look at this pitch, honestly it is very bad”, he said.
On the contrary, head coach for Legon Cities, Maxwell Konadu sounded not worried about the state of the pitch as long as his side were getting the points.
“We should leave that to the Club licensing authority. We should leave that to the GFA to decide. This is our home and we have no where to go. So far we have not been beaten here and we are enjoying it”.
Hearts of Oak are gradually losing their title to Asante Kotoko as they are now 14 points away from the league leaders, lying 7th with 26 points after 18 games.
