South African Airways tickets go on sale in Accra
Ghanaians looking to travel to South Africa can book their South African Airways (SAA) flight tickets with their preferred travel agent effective Thursday, August 26, 2021.
The South African-based airline’s tickets are now on sale and available on Amadeus and all GDS systems for booking.
The airline, in a statement, said it will restart scheduled flight operations on Thursday, September 23, 2021, after about a year of inactivity due to various managerial and financial challenges.
However, SAA’s Voyager bookings and Travel Credit Voucher redemption will be available from September 6.

SAA will, as an initial phase, operate flights from Johannesburg to Cape Town, Accra, Kinshasa, Harare, Lusaka, and Maputo. More destinations are expected to be added to the route network as it ramps up operations in response to market conditions.
Thomas Kgokolo, Interim CEO of SAA said: ”After months of diligent work, we are delighted that SAA is resuming service and we look forward to welcoming onboard our loyal passengers and flying the South Africa flag. We continue to be a safe carrier and adhering to COVID-19 protocols.”
