GSE-CI posts -11.76% YTD returns

The Accra Bourse after three consecutive trading days of remaining unchanged, recorded price movement at the close of trading today.

The Ghana Stock Exchange Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 0.96  points to close at 2,461.27 points representing a YTD return of -11.76%.

The GSE-FSI also clinched 1.74 points to close at 2,071.63 points,  representing a YTD return of -3.73%. 

A total of 14,114 shares were traded among nine (9) equities.

NewGold  (GLD) and Trust Bank Gambia Ltd (TBL) were the gainers on the day as  they advanced by GH¢4.00 and GH¢0.05 to close trading at GH¢261.40 and GH¢0.60 respectively.

Compared to the previous trading day, the volume traded declined by  73.60% with a diverse increase of 1780.32% in value traded.

GLD accounted for 99.57%of the total value traded and recorded the largest  volumes traded.
