Stanbic Bank Ghana’s Alhassan Andani, is set to retire from his role as the bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) this November.
Disclosing Mr Andani’s exit as the CEO of Stanbic Bank, Head of Marketing and Communications at Stanbic Bank Ghana, Mawuko Afadzinu noted that Mr Andani will be replaced by Kwamina Asomaning as the new CEO.
Mr Andani, during his 14-year-long stay at the South African Bank, has championed a number of innovations and led key reforms at the bank.
With over 30 years spent in the banking industry, Mr Andani is a versatile banker with significant experience in Corporate and Investment Banking, Retail banking, and business leadership.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics from the University of Ghana and a master’s degree in banking and finance from Fin Africa Institute in Milan.
He was Deputy Managing Director of Barclays Bank Ghana before joining Stanbic Bank in 2006.
Mr Andani has over the years sat on the board of several organizations including Ghana Home Loans Company Ltd, Savana Agricultural Research Institute (SARI), JA International Group of Companies, Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), Rlg Communications (Ghana) Limited and TV Africa.
