“At Step Publishers we believe that every child and girls for that matter must be armed with books in order to help them make informed choices. Books can take you anywhere, inspire you, and even change your life. As a young person trying to navigate school, family, friendships, and first loves, they can be among the most valuable and helpful tools. We are happy to be supporting the girls in this community with reading materials because we want them to become informed leaders of our tomorrow”. She added
Founder and Executive Director for Inspire Today, Etornam Sey, expressed gratitude to Step Publishers for coming on board to support the girls with reading materials.
“An informed generation is a progressive one. We encourage our girls to stay in school and pursue their dreams but unfortunately, some do not have access to reading materials and that makes it difficult to have access to quality education. It means a lot to us that Step Publishers continues to support us on a regular basis even in these difficult economic times. On behalf of the beneficiary schools, we are grateful to step publishers for their continuous support in keeping the girls in school”.
The International Day of the Girl, which is observed annually on 11th October, is a global platform to advocate for the full spectrum of girls’ rights. This year’s theme is “Invest In Girls Rights; our leadership, our well-being’. This is helping to respond to girls’ calls for change, and ensuring that the global community move beyond reaffirming commitments and invest boldly in the action needed to make that change.
