Stock market records 7.64 points gain WoW to close at 3,069.32 points returning 25.59% YTD

The GSE-Composite Index records a modest 0.25% while the GSE-Financial Stocks Index similarly increased by 1.06% over the week, bringing their respective year-to-date performances to 25.59% and -17.40%.

Market activity was buoyant over the week resulting in a GH¢83.10 million climb in market capitalization from the previous week, to settle at GH¢73.081 billion.

The week saw a total of twenty-five (25) equities trading with SCB, SOGEGH, and SIC earning GH¢1.59, GH¢0.09 and GH¢0.02 topping the week at GH¢15.14, GH¢0.99and GH¢0.22 respectively.

Conversely, there were GH¢0.02, GH¢0.05, GH¢0.18 and GH¢0.42 declines recorded for CAL, GOIL, ACCESS and EGH respectively with their respective prices ending the week at GH¢0.62, GH¢1.60, GH¢2.82, and GH¢3.32.

A total of 770,483 shares with a corresponding turnover of GH¢3,479,581.70 were traded during the week. This represents a 99.08% and 96.80% slump in volume and value traded from the previous week.

Scancom PLC. (GCB) traded the most volumes this week, totaling ¢872,882,50 in traded value and constituting 53.67% of the week’s total traded value.
