SWAG Awards: Abdul Fatawu Issahaku wins Discovery of the Year Award
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been adjudged the Discovery of the Year at the 46th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards on Friday night.
The thriling youngster has been on tremendous form since coming into the limelight at the youth level.
Fatawu Issahaku played a vital role in Ghana’s triumph at the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament earlier this year in Mauritania where he was named the best player of the tournament.
He then earned a place in the Black Stars under C.K Akonnor and finally his debut against Zimbabwe under Coach Milovan Rajevac.
Fatawu after joining Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC from Stedfast on loan has been phenomenal for the Dawu based side.

In his first ever season in the Ghana Premier League, Issahaku has scored six goals in eight appearances with most of them valid contenders for the goal of the season award.
It is no surprise that the Sports Writers Association of Ghana has rewarded the youngster with prize for 2021 taking into consideration his brilliant and impressive performance for both club and country.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is expected to make the Black Stars squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament when Milovan Rajevac names his squad.
