Access gains 30p in share price; emerges sole gainer on GSE

Access Bank Ghana emerged sole gainer on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) after trading session on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Access Bank at the end of trading session posted a 30 pesewas gain in its share price, closing stock price for the equity was GHS 4.00 from the opening stock price of GHS 3.70.

The equity was also among the most traded stock n the GSE for Tuesday in both volume and value traded.

Access recorded a total volume and value traded of 2,000 and GHS 8,000 respectively.

The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) inched up by 5 points to close trading at 2,504.90 points representing a YTD return of -10.20%.

The GSE  Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also dropped 9.05 points to close  trading at 2,082.38 points translating into a YTD return of -3.23%.

Market capitalization of the GSE for the day settled at GH¢64.45 billion.

Meanwhile, a total of 18,436 shares valued at GH¢29,408.47 was traded on Tuesday. Compared with the previous GSE trading day (September 19), Tuesday’s data shows a 81.04% decline in volume traded and 64.54% decline in trade turnover.

TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana PLC.  (TOTAL) accounted for 28.48% of the total value traded whilst Cal  Bank PLC. (CAL) recorded the most volumes traded.
