‘There’s no bad blood between me and anyone at Kotoko,’ says Felix Annan
Former Asante Kotoko Captain, Felix Annan has revealed that he did not leave the club due to bad blood between him and the club’s board of directors.
The goalkeeper left the Porcupine Warriors in September this year after 10-years with the club. Prior to his exit, Annan struggled for game time in the last few seasons.
The genesis of his struggle for game time began when he went on to marry his long time girlfriend mid-season in the scrapped 2019/2020 GPL season.
Felix Annan after getting married was relegated to the bench with Kwame Baah starting until the club signed Razak Abalora ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
Annan is currently a free agent but has stated his desire to continue his career outside the country.
“I have never had any issues with any of the board members and that is the reason why I was able to spend ten years at Kotoko. I wasn’t giving my best because I wanted to impress management or a member of the board.
“I came to the club with my talent from WAFA, just to play as a professional. All I did was play for the badge even if I just had two minutes on the pitch because the club meant so much to me.
“For me, it was not about anybody, it was all about Kotoko,” he said speaking in an interview with TV3 and monitored by norvanreports.
Presently, it is still unknown where the former Black Stars goalkeeper will ply his trade next.
