Thomas Partey, Felix Afena Gyan not included in Black Stars squad against Ethiopia
The Ghana Football Association has confirmed midfielder Thomas Partey’s unavailability for the Black Stars’ game with Ethiopia on Thursday.
The Arsenal man, who is reported to have a groin injury, is not included in the 24-man squad named by Milovan Rajevac for the World Cup qualifier in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Also excluded is injured Colombus Crew captain, Jonathan Mensah and Roma youngster Felix Afena-Gyan, who was not released by club team Roma.
The team trained on Tuesday morning ahead of the trip and thrashed Divison 1 side Golden Kicks FC by 5-1, a game Jordan Ayew scored.
Ghana, second in Group G, are hoping to beat Ethiopia at the Orlando Stadium to increase their chances of making it to the playoffs.

Three days after the Ethiopia match, Black Stars will face off with South Africa in a game projected to be the decider at the Cape Coast Stadium.
