UNIL, GGBL, and EGL Emerge Top Gainers on Ghana Stock Exchange For Last Week
Last week’s trading activity on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) saw notable movements among various stocks.
UNIL, GGBL, and EGL emerged as the top gainers, closing at GH¢16.00, GH¢5.17, and GH¢1.65, respectively.
In contrast, GLD experienced the largest week-on-week dip, with its price closing at GH¢366.24.
Trading volume recorded for last week surged significantly, with a remarkable 2,989.33% increase from the previous week, and the total value traded also saw a substantial rise of 775.12%.
MTNGH led both in trading volume and value, underscoring its liquidity and continued strong investor interest.
However, the GSE Composite Index showed a slight decline in the year-to-date (YTD) gain, closing at 41.86%, down from last week’s 41.87%.
The GSE Financial Stock Index, on the other hand, saw a slight improvement, with its YTD return increasing to 11.64% from 11.25% the previous week.
