Women’s Premier League: Hasaacas Ladies win the Southern Zonal Championship
Hasaacas Ladies have won back to back Southern Zonal Championship of the 2021/2022 Ghana Women’s Premier League after beating Immigration Ladies 2-0 at the Gyandu Park in Sekondi-Takoradi in their Matchday 15 encounter.
Hasaacas Ladies, who are yet lose a game this season, have recorded an unprecedented 11 wins and 4 draws in 15 games , amassing an unassailable 37 points with three more games to end the season.
It took Hasaacas Ladies 24 minutes to get things running as Linda Epo scored the match opener after she was gifted the ball and slotted home calmly.
After recess, right back Lucy Kwofie provided the much needed cushioning as the Dooo Ladies went 2–0 up. They kept their composure as there was nothing relegation threatened Immigration Ladies could do, with Yusif Basigi sealing yet another milestone with his ladies.
Hasaacas Ladies have now secured a play off slot with three games to spare against Berry Ladies, Thunder Queens and Soccer Intellectuals.
The victory seals another champions of champions clash with a yet to be decided winner of the Northern Zone as there will be all to play for, with the winner having the opportunity to represent Ghana at the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League of which Hasaacas Ladies were runners up last year.
