Women’s Premier League Super Cup: Hasaacas Ladies, Ampem Dakoa advance to semis 

The maiden edition of the Women’s Premier League Super Cup has reached it’s penultimate stage as all four places in the semifinals have been booked. 

LadyStrikers and Hasaacas Ladies secured wins on the last round of matches in the group stages to join Ampem Darkoa and Prisons Ladies in completing the semifinals spot. 

LadyStrikers were undefeated as they topped Group B with 7 points, coming from behind twice to defeat AshTown Ladies 4-2 at Madina Zurak Park in the last game. 

Hasaacas Ladies’ earn a hard fought narrow win as they clashed with Kumasi Sports Academy. The game ended 1-0 courtesy a Success Ameyaa goal.

The Hasmal Ladies are without five players of their squad who made it to the finals of the CAF Champions League, notable of them being Evelyn Badu, the reigning best player in Women’s club football on the continent and Doris Boaduwaa.

Ampem Dakoa also qualified after topping Group A with seven points as Prisons settled for second place with four points with a resounding 2-0 win over Soccer Intellectuals 

The semifinal games are scheduled for Thursday, December 2 with both games set to be played at The Madina Zurak Park. 

Ampem Darkoa Ladies, who were beaten twice to the league and FA Cup titles by Hasaacas just this past season, have a chance to seek redemption in the first fixture which kicks off at 10 am.

LadyStrikers face Prisons Ladies in the second semifinals match at 2 pm.

The winners from the two games meet up in the grand finale on December 5.
