World Cup 2022: Ghana to name final squad in Accra on Monday
Otto Addo will name his final World Cup squad on Monday, November 14 in Accra at a press conference at Multichoice Office.
The Dortmund coach named a 55-man preliminary list last week and has decided on the players who will travel to Qatar after consulting with other technical team members and Ghana Football Association officials.
Captain Andre Ayew is expected to lead the final squad, which is also likely to include Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Baba Rahman, and Jojo Wollacott.
Otto Addo will announce the squad on the same day FIFA has set as the deadline for final squad submissions by participating teams.
Otto Addo and other officials will travel to Abu Dhabi following the announcement to begin camping for the tournament, which begins on November 20.
Ghana will play Switzerland on November 17, just seven days before their first match against Portugal in Qatar.
The Black Stars’ next game will be against South Korea on November 28, followed by their last group match against Uruguay on December 2.
