Share price gains by Unilever Ghana and Enterprise Group push GSE-CI returns to 41.4%

Share price gains in stocks of Unilever Ghana Plc and Enterprise Group Plc, saw the Ghana Stock Exchange Composite Index (GSE-CI) post a 1.9 percentage points increment to close Monday’s trading session at 2,746.15 points with a 41.44% YTD return on equity prices for investors.

Unilever Ghana and the Enterprise Group respectively gained 9.93 and 0.51 percentage points increment in share prices.

In Monday’s trading session, a total of 652,880 shares valued at Ghs 1,262,077.13 was traded, this compares unfavourably to the 1,683,573 shares valued at Ghs 2,928,425.22 that was traded last Friday, August 13.

Seven (7) equities changed hands in Monday’s trading session with the Enterprise Group recording the most trades and accounting for 95.64 percent of the total value traded – Ghs 1,207,150.28.

Following Enterprise Group, was MTN Ghana, Unilever and Ecobank Transnational Incorporation (ETI) with total value trade of Ghs 40,559.40, Ghs 6,420.00 and Ghs 123.60 respectively.
