Cal Bank equity price up by 4.6% as it emerges sole gainer on exchange

Cal Bank emerged the sole gainer on the local bourse on the first trading day of the week.

The equity recorded a 4.65% increase in its share price at the end of trading on Monday.

With an opening price of 86 pesewas, the equity ended trading activity on the bourse with a closing price of 90 pesewas, gaining 4 pesewas.

The recorded price share increment marks a year-to-date share price increase of 3.45% for the equity.

Meanwhile, the stock market closed trading session on Monday with a marginal increase of 2.40 points as the benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE CI) closed at 2,699.07 representing a YTD return of -3.24%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also increased by 4.35 points to close at 2,224.01representing a YTD return of 3.35%.

Market capitalization for the day settled at GHS 64.07 billion. 

A total of 47,282 shares valued at GHS 37,465.67 was traded on the day with CAL recording the largest share of trades in both volume and  value; as it accounted for 48.20% of the total value traded.
