Charles Adu Boahen loses job as Minister of State at Finance Ministry
The Office of the Presidency has announced the termination of the appointment of the Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, Charles Adu Boahen.
The termination of Mr Charles Adu-Boahen’s appointment as Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, follows the Minister’s involvement in illegal small scale mining activities (galamsey) in a yet-to-be-aired exposé by investigative journalist, Anas Amereyaw Anas.
In the press statement issued by the Office of the President on Monday, November 14, 2022, the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, noted the matter has been referred to the Special Prosecutor for further investigations.
