- GIPC Turns to Digital Storytelling to Deepen Investor Engagement
The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre has launched the InvestGhana Podcast, a new digital platform aimed at deepening investor awareness, showcasing key opportunities and strengthening Ghana’s image as a leading investment destination in Africa.
The Centre said the initiative forms part of its broader effort to engage global audiences through digital communication and direct storytelling, as Ghana seeks to consolidate its economic recovery and attract investor interest across priority sectors.
The podcast will feature conversations with business leaders, investors, industry experts and government officials, offering insights into Ghana’s investment climate, policy direction and business success stories.
According to GIPC, the platform will cover themes including infrastructure, manufacturing, agribusiness, digital transformation, the creative arts, diaspora investment, entrepreneurship and opportunities emerging under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
It will also spotlight real investor experiences, including how businesses have navigated Ghana’s operating environment and what prospective investors can expect when entering the market.
At the launch of the flagship project, GIPC Chief Executive Officer Simon Madjie described the podcast as an important step toward making investment information more accessible and engaging for both local and international audiences.
“Countries are increasingly competing for investment in new ways, making strategic communication essential. The InvestGhana Podcast will share Ghana’s investment narrative, highlight opportunities across sectors, and connect investors to the people, policies, and projects driving the country’s growth,” he said.
The launch comes at a time when countries across Africa are competing more aggressively for foreign direct investment, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, logistics, agribusiness, digital services and creative industries.
For Ghana, the challenge is not only attracting capital, but also communicating investment opportunities in a way that is consistent, accessible and credible to global investors.
The InvestGhana Podcast is therefore designed to serve as both an information channel and a reputational tool, giving potential investors direct access to sector insights, policy explanations and business narratives from those operating within the economy.
Mr Madjie said the podcast aligns with GIPC’s ongoing digital transformation efforts, including the development of a 24-hour website chat service, an investor roadmap and targeted social media campaigns aimed at simplifying access to investment opportunities and information.
The move reflects a broader shift in investment promotion, where agencies are increasingly using digital platforms, data-driven engagement and targeted content to reach investors before formal investment decisions are made.
For Ghana, such tools could prove important as government seeks to convert macroeconomic recovery into stronger investor confidence, job creation and private-sector-led growth.
The podcast could also help address one of the recurring gaps in Ghana’s investment promotion ecosystem: the need to present sector opportunities, policy reforms and investor experiences in a more practical and accessible format.
By highlighting both opportunities and real business experiences, the platform may help prospective investors better understand Ghana’s regulatory environment, market potential and strategic positioning under AfCFTA.
