GSE-CI advances by 5.34 points over the week to close at 3,145 points; returns 28.70% YTD
The GSE composite Index (GSE-CI) inched up 5.34 points to close at 3,145.33 points translating into a YTD return of 28.70%.
Similarly, the GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) gained 9.20 points to close at 1,953.13 points translating into a YTD return of -4.85%.
Twenty-four (24) equities traded over the week, ending with four (4) gainers and (2) price losers.
BOPP, ACCESS, EGH and GCB advanced, earning GH¢0.37, GH¢0.03, GH¢0.10 and GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢19.00, GH¢3.40, GH¢5.40 and GH¢3.51 respectively.
GOIL and RBGH lost GH¢0.02 and GH¢0.04 to close trading at GH¢1.50 and GH¢1.58, correspondingly.
Effectively, market Capitalization grew by GH¢58.05 million to close the trading week at GH¢73.95 billion.
A total of 798,602 shares valued at GH¢1,613,437.62 were traded during the week.
Compared with the previous trading week, this week’s data shows declines of 87.49% and 84.89% in volume traded and trade turnover respectively.
