GSE-CI loses 23.48 points; returns to investors decline to 45.17%

The benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) lost 23.48 points to close  trading at 2,818.59 points representing a YTD return of 45.17% for investors trading on the local bourse.

The GSE  Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) however, remained flat to close trading  at 2,089.21 points also translating into a YTD return of 17.19%. 

As a result, market capitalization reduced by GH¢245.81 million to close  at GH¢63.97 billion representing a growth of 17.65% in 2021.

A total of 8,223,945 shares valued at GH¢9,542,503.13 was traded in  seven (7) equities, a significant increase in trade turnover compared to  Monday’s volume of 128,588shares valued at GH¢144,193.82.

Scancom PLC (MTNGH) recorded the lion’s share of trades, accounting for 99.8% of the total value traded.
