GSE to introduce Gender Bond to raise funds for women-led businesses
The GSE has revealed that it is in the initial stages of developing a Gender Bond aimed at attracting female-led businesses to raise capital more easily on the capital market.
The initiative is part of broader efforts by the GSE to encourage more women-led businesses to participate in the capital market.
The new initiative by the Stock Exchange was disclosed by the Deputy Managing Director of the GSE, Frank Berle during the GSE “Ring the Bell” event for gender equality held to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The GSE plans to unveil guidelines for the Gender Bond soon.
The ‘Gender Bond’ marks a significant step towards promoting gender equality and empowering women.
