GSE-CI gains 23.77 points; closes trading at 2,414 points

The Benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 23.77 points and closed trading at 2,414.20, with a year-to-date return of -1.22%.

Meanwhile, the GSE Financial Stocks Index remained unchanged at 1,983.82 points, with a year-to-date return of -3.35%.

In individual stock news, Total Energies Marketing Ghana PLC. (TOTAL) and Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) gained GH¢0.02 each to close at GH¢4.15 and GH¢0.90 respectively.

The market capitalization for the day increased by GH¢248.05 million, reaching GH¢64.35 billion.

Trading activity was relatively subdued, with 28,378 shares valued at GH¢30,918.25 traded across fourteen (14) counters, marking a decline in both the total volume and value traded compared to the last trading day.

Transactions in Scancom PLC (MTNGH) topped the trading chart, with 21,828 shares valued at GH¢19,633.00, representing 63.50% of the total value traded.
