GSE-CI begins week 3.13 points lower close at 3,136 points; returns 28.35% YTD

The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange declined by 3.13 points to close at 3,136.86 points, returning 28.35% YTD.

The Financial Stocks Index also declined by 5.92 points to close at 1,938.01 points, posting a YTD loss of -5.58%.

RGBH recorded its first price change of the year after declining by GH¢0.04, to close at GH¢0.50.

However, there were no gainers on the day. Market capitalization consequently dropped marginally to GH¢73.86 billion.

20,544 shares were traded, valued at GH¢ 33,063.11 on a trading day which saw seventeen (17) stocks
exchange hands.

Volumes traded and value traded were 88.31% and 80.10% less respectively compared to the previous trading day.

RGBH ended the day topping both the volumes charts. 3,423 MTNGH shares valued at GH¢4,792.20 were traded to come in second place.

The other stocks that made up the top five traded stocks include EGH, TOTAL, and ETI.
