Stock market posts -11.68% returns for investors

The Ghana Stock Exchange’s Composite Index (GSE-CI) advanced marginally by 0.17 points to close trading at 2,463.44 points representing a YTD return of -11.68% for investors trading on the stock market.

The GSE Financial Stock Index  (GSE-FSI) however maintained its value to close trading at 2,076.84 points, translating into a YTD return of -3.49% for investors. 

Benso Palm Plantation PLC. (BOPP) ended today’s trading session  as the sole gainer as it moved up by GH¢0.05 to close at GH¢7.65.  Market capitalization for the day settled at GH¢64.82 billion.

A total of 39,169 shares were traded across fourteen (14) counters. These trades cumulated in a turnover of GH¢92,674.35.

Scancom  PLC. (MTNGH) emerged the most traded stock at the close of  trading session, accounting for 71.86% of overall trade volume, whilst  BOPP accounted for 69.56% of the total value traded.
