The Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) is urging Ghanainas, particularly ardent supporters of the two dominant political parties to remain calm and wait for the Electoral Commission’s declaration of the 2020 general elections results.
The Council in a press release issued and signed by Rev Dr Cyril Fayose, General Secretary of the CCG, cautioned the leadership of both the NPP and NDC against announcing the winner of the 2020 presidential election noting it has the “propensity to cause mayhem in the event that the EC’s official declaration goes contrary to that announced by the political party.”
The CCG’s call for calm, follows a similar call made by the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) a few hours earlier.
The EC, by the close of today, is expected to declare the results of the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
