Former Ghana midfielder Michael Essien has announced that he has successfully completed a UEFA certificate in Football Management.
Essien shared the exciting milestone on social media on Friday, complementing his UEFA License A coaching certificate obtained in 2023. With a distinguished playing career behind him, he is now focused on excelling in football management.
“Finally done with my UEFA certificate in football management journey. Thanks to all for the help. I keep learning about the beautiful game,” Essien wrote on X.
The UEFA Certificate in Football Management (CFM) is tailored for professionals involved in the administrative and operational aspects of football clubs, federations, and leagues. It covers essential areas such as strategic management, marketing, communication, finance, event management, and governance.
This qualification underscores Essien’s commitment to remaining active in the football world, equipping him with the expertise to navigate the complexities of football administration and make informed decisions for future endeavors.
Currently, Essien serves as an individual talent coach for FC Nordsjaelland in the Danish Superliga, where he mentors young players, drawing on his extensive experience and tactical knowledge.
