Background
The Kantamanto Liberty House branch of the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) on Saturday afternoon caught fire.
Six fire trucks with fire service personnel were reported to be at the bank’s premises in minutes and succeeded in putting out the inferno before it could do any real damage to the bank’s edifice.
GCB Bank later in the evening of the same day through its official Twitter page, told clients that, only the first floor of the building was affected by the fire outbreak and that it was going to update it’s clients on new information received from fire authorities as and when they come.
The cause of the fire outbreak has still not been determined.
