TOTAL gains 4 pesewas on local bourse

TOTAL emerged as the sole equity gainer on the local bourse at the end of trading session on Wednesday, May 25, 2021.

Stocks of TOTAL appreciated by 0.04% to close at GHS 4.10 from an opening price of GHS 4.06 translating into a YTD price change of -18.33%.

Market capitalization of the stock market on the back of the share price appreciation in TOTAL, increased to close trading at GHS 62.29 billion.

The Accra Bourse clinched 0.42 points as the benchmark GSE  Composite Index (GSE-CI) closed at 2,556.84 points representing a YTD return of -8.34%.

The GSE Financial Stock  Index (GSE-FSI) however maintained its value to close trading  at 2,196.29 points translating into a YTD return of 2.07%.

A total of 74,811 shares valued at GH¢33,234.23 was traded on the day.

TOTAL accounted for 52.99% of the total value traded  whilst SIC Insurance Company Ltd. (SIC) recorded the largest volumes traded.
