GSE-CI records marginal increase of 0.12 points to close at 3,061.80 points on Monday
The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange rose by 0.12 points to close at 3,061.80 points, earning 25.28% YTD.
The Financial Stocks Index also increased by 0.23 points, to close at 1,677.78 points, returning -18.26% YTD.
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) earned GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢13.56. There were no decliners on this day.
Total market capitalization saw a GH¢1.35 million rise to close at GH¢73.00 billion.
The total volume of shares traded was 88,963 valued at GH¢1,157,823.00 on a trading day which saw only six (6) equities trade.
Though there was a 69.06% slump in volume traded, a 22.25% increase in value was recorded.
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) traded 85,000 shares valued at GH¢1,152,600,00. and representing 95.55% of the total value traded.
CAL, GCB and MTNGH followed with a cumulative turnover of GH¢4,296.00.
Ecobank Ghana (EGH) recorded the least trades among the top 5 traded equities with a value of GH¢432.00.
